ok, so here is my crazy, made-for-tv movie escapade:
last thursday, bo, the gay guy from work, invited me to go to traxx, this gay club in denver. so since obviously i wouldn't have any trouble, since i'm straight, and it's a gay club, and all you have to say is, "sorry, i'm straight", and they back off, i thought it would be fun to go see.
so at 7-ish, bo comes and picks me up with his friend adry, who is lesbian. she's so cute tho! XD anyway, we still had to pick up his other friends in greeley before we go to denver, so bo was speeding really fast so we cud get to the club on time. well, just before we hit greeley, bo gets pulled over by the police for speeding.
oh. my. god. i was sitting in the back seat and silently freaking out, because now i'm on unsupervised probation for the alcohol-serving thing, and i can't get another ticket, period. so the cop walks over to the car, and he asks for bo's license and registration. he was really nice about it tho, not like most cops who bite your head off and are pricks when they pull you over.
well, he takes really long just for the copying of license and registration and insurance and whatever, so bo starts talking about how the cop's probly looking up his file because he has 2 warrants out for his arrest. 2 warrents. and he laughed. by this time, i'm ready to cry. i really didn't know he had two warrants out for his arrest, and i also realize that i'm the oldest of us 3 in the car, which makes things really bad for me. so then the cop walks back, gives bo back his stuff, and then asks him to step out of the car, and arrests him.
if i weren't freaking out, my jaw would've dropped, because apparently adry also has a warrant out for her arrest, but the cop had no reason to i.d. her, because, well, she's dressed like a boy. so we sit in the car, i'm wondering what the heck to do, while bo is arrested and put in the back of the patrol car. then the cop comes back and does a search of bo's car, and i'm seriously freaking out even more, because what if there were drugs in the back seat and he thought i had something to do with it? he didn't find anything, thank goodness, and he told me bo wanted me to take care of his car because i was 21, so it wouldn't get towed.
so i get in the car, and drive off with adry, we're both freaking out because we don't know what to do, and bo's bail is $700, obviously which we don't have. she calls his mom, and his sister, and his boyfriend. the mom couldn't help, the sister wasn't picking up, but the boyfriend said he'd get the $700 from his house and go bail bo out. bo's boyfriend is rich btw, so the bond was in cash. but he lived in evergreen?, which was like two hours away from greeley, so we went to go pick up the other girls who were supposed to go with us and figure out what to do.
that is how i ended up in some ghetto neighborhood with no sidewalks, on the front porch of a house that's covered with spit and huge giant moths attacking their light, waiting to see what i was supposed to do with a car that was not mine. and the other two girls, haley and amanda, were also obviously not of age, because they didn't dress like it. so now it finally dawns on me that i would have been the only 21 year old in this group, and felt really really uneasy since they were all like, "we wanna party! we wanna get drunk! call people and see what they're doing!" well, they didn't really talk like that, but their version was rather crass, so we'll stick with my voiceover. finally, the boyfriend calls back, and we're supposed to meet him back in longmont so i can drop the car off at bo's sister's apartment.
i was so happy about the prospect of going home! but i also didn't want to get pulled over in someone else's car, so i drove slow. adry and haley started getting... friendly in the back, and amanda kept yelling because she wanted their attention even tho she was only in the front and i'm sure they could hear her fine... omg, now i know how bus drivers feel and why they're grumpy all the time. i was ready to kill some little twats.
we made it to longmont with no bloodshed or police trouble, and then we *had* to stop at super walmart for a potty break. how classy. bo's boyfriend met us there, and then we went to his sister's place, and dropped off the car. then they drove me home, and went to go bail out bo.
the end.
*deep breath*
so that's that. obviously, i'm not keen on hanging out with crazy, underage kids. granted, i'm sure they're absolutely nice people, but i value longevity of my life, so i'll keep my distance.
oh! for halloween, i want to be a marionette, but i'm having trouble finding a costume....*cries*
and brian turns 6 on sunday!
